Travelmate is the first true fully autonomous suitcase. It works seamlessly in crowds, doesn't require any extra peripherals to operate it. Travelmate integrates with your smartphone to accomplish complex tasks that no other suitcase can do. It can move vertically or horizontally with ease. You can put more items or perhaps another suitcase on top of Travelmate when it is traveling autonomously in horizontal mode. Power required for the Travelmate is taken from the battery stored in the bottom of the suitcase and that can be easily remove charged using wireless technology. Also it support for charge via all standard electrical outlets and USB ports. In addition, the Travelmate suitcase features unique omni wheels that allow for unprecedented multi-directional movement. This is crucial for autonomous technology. Since the suitcase functions as a robot in practice, it uses AI and machine learning to optimize its movements and omni wheels allow for markedly increased stability and range of motion that cannot be achieved otherwise. For the autonomous functionality of the Travelmate does not require any extra peripherals and you need only suitcase and smartphone. Travelmate carry luggage and will follow you whenever you go.

Travelmate  has reasonable battery life and it will support up to 100 hours in standby mode and support up to 4 hours when it is in full autonomous mode. The electric motor and internal components that enable autonomous functionality take up less than 5% of the suitcase’s volume and almost that is not considerable space in the suitcase. Travelmate used multi-colored LED system and that will give rich look to the suitcase and also indicate the battery level of the suitcase. LED lighting system is customizable and can control via Travelmate smartphone application.

Travelmate is fully TSA compliant and suitcase sizes are standardized. The smallest size Travelmate is carry on sized and fits the specification of all major airlines requirements for carry on specifications. Also to comply with the TSA guide lines it have provision add padlock to provide extra security to the suitcase.

Currently planning to release 3 stranded size of Travelmate suitcases. (S)Small one is comply with stranded carry on sized and dimension is   21.7 x 7.9 x 15.7 inch. Dimension of (M) Medium one is    27.2 x 11.4 x 19.3 and (L) Large one is 29.5 x 12.2 x 20.5.

A California company has produced this working prototype and they launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for distribution and large scale production. According to background of the company they are mainly doing robotic and software developments. They are planning to deliver suitcases on June, 2017 and initially deliver for indiegogo backers.
